Sometimes it's best to let our customers speak for us:

"I am very, very happy with how the new site works. You did a super job converting what I wanted into an easy-to-use front-end tool for updating the website and my inventory list at the same time. Also, I discovered that I can create a new purchases report that will save me a lot of time in preparing my newsletter." - Rich Uhrich, Rich Uhrich Rare U.S. Coins Inc.

Far too much time was spent constantly updating their site whenever coins were sold, purchased, or otherwise changed. Previously their site, with approximately 1,000 rare coins, was managed using FrontPage-- manually. They recognized the need to stop spending countless hours updating their website, rather than selling coins.

Pigz In Zen developed, for them, a management interface to drive their pre-existing web site. With this new system they can now perform the following activities without any use of code or other manual content editing:

  • Coin Management
    • Creation, Modification, and Deletion
    • Set to Approved, Featured, or Archived
    • Categorization, status and pricing management
    • Manage consignment information
    • Manage customer & selling information, including shipment tracking numbers
    • Upload and automatically create thumbnail images for obverse and reverse images
  • Mass Updates
    • Automatically set all coins of one status to another status (such as "New" to "No status")
    • Able to have an initial load from a spreadsheet populate the database
  • Reporting
    • Self-create custom reports containing any combination of coin information and self-defined filters
    • Export reports to OpenXML (Excel), CSV (text / Excel / OpenOffice / iWork), PDF (Adobe Acrobat)
    • Memorize and forget any number of reports created
    • Always available owned, consigned, and total value of coins
  • Content Management
    • While the front-end of the website remained un-altered from before Pigz In Zen's efforts, we did include a number of WYSIWYG sections in the existing layout allowing them to update all content aspects without the use of code or development tools

In the future the system we built for Rich Uhrich Rare U.S. Coins Inc. is planned to be repackaged with a customizable front-end for others to use. If you're interested in something like this, please contact us.
