Focus On Retail
"It is estimated that e-commerce grows by 20-25% each year."
How Can We Help?We at Pigz In Zen have helped a number of retailers put their business online; some with traditional brick & mortar storefronts, and others who only sell online. Unlike most web design companies, we understand that your online store is not some cookie cutter commodity. Your e-commerce solution is an extension of your business and your brand. It should be as unique as your business is, and give your customers a consistent impression of what your business is all about. It should also make your life easier, not more difficult. Some Our Services for Retailers:
Why Have Us Build Your Website? Not only do we have the technical experience in how to make the programs work, but we also understand your business needs, and can apply an artistic edge to your online presence. Most web design companies can piece together the technology, but few can marry that with our understanding and creativity. Coupled with that we can provide you with an end-to-end solution that includes not just the software development, but the required hardware, hosting, and even credit card processing. As with all of our projects we take the time to first ensure we clearly understand your needs and unique situation. Only after we both agree that a vivid picture of the end result is understood on both sides, do we then quote the development and design work. Many places will give you a quote after talking to you for a few minutes, but don't let them fool you, there will be hidden costs and unexpected project creep. Don't discount our technical acumen, however, as we are backed by decades of experience in the Information Technology industry. Our team has worked on several websites that range from personal and micro-business, all the way up to major corporations with integrated ERP (business software), partner interfaces, document management, employee resources, and more. Our experience stretches from the desktop / laptop level, up through high-end servers and virtualization, and on to networks and communications. Who Are Some Of Our Customers?
How Do I Get Started? The best first step is to fill out the form on our "Contact Us" page. The data collected by that form contains a good portion of the information we will need to start your project. You should also be prepared to provide, or have us assist you in creating a Requirements Document. The Requirements Document is an agreement of sorts that clearly defines the complete scope of the project and the measurements for success and completeness. Any reputable web design firm will insist on working with a Requirements Document. You will also want to keep in mind that your products will each need pictures, descriptions, weights, etc. to be entered into the web site. This is something we can help you with, but typically this activity is performed by the client. Additionally, if you don't already have a domain name, you will want to start thinking about what you want for one. We can help you pick one if you have trouble with this, but we recommend keeping the name as short as possible, avoid use of dashes ("-"), and try to stick to ".com". We look forward to hearing from you! |

If your retail business isn't online, you're missing out on valuable exposure and a vast sales channel. Every year more and more consumers are increasingly using the Internet to discover, research, and ultimately purchase the goods they desire. Even when a person's ultimate intention is to go to the physical location to make the purchase, it is common for them to spend time online researching not just the product, but who has it for sale and for how much. By providing your customers with a web portal view into your business, you allow them to browse your goods, even while you're fast asleep. Additionally many retail purchases are made impulsively, depending on your goods; if your store sells online you can capture those impulses that happen while your customers are still at home!
